Biological Activity:

Potent inhibitor of Staphylococcus aureus small-colony variants typically seen as complications of cystic fibrosis, with little or no effect on normal S. aureusstrains. Also shows antiinflammatory activity by indirectly inhibiting iNOS and COX-2 pathways.
