Biological Activity:

A fungal metabolite possessing potent immunosuppressive properties. It inhibits the T-cell receptor signal transduction pathway via the formation of cyclosporin A-cyclophilin complex that inhibits calcineurin (protein phosphatase 2B). Inhibits nitric oxid.
